LayerGenius is a US consulting firm focused on one thing: applied deep learning in the Keras ecosystem. We build, train, modernize, and deploy models for teams whose problems are concrete — a defect to detect, a demand curve to forecast, a legacy training stack to bring forward — and whose tolerance for hand-waving is low.
Who we work with
Our clients are engineering and data teams outside big tech: industrial, healthcare, retail, and agtech companies with real datasets, real constraints, and models that have to run in production. Some come to us with a problem and data; some with a model that underperforms; many with a tf.keras codebase that has outlived its era and needs a road to Keras 3.
What we believe about this work
Applied deep learning is engineering, not alchemy. The teams that succeed with it are the ones that measure honestly, prefer boring reliable methods until the data argues otherwise, and treat deployment as part of the project rather than an afterthought. That conviction shapes everything on our approach page — baselines first, reproducibility as a deliverable, verification at every hand-off.
How engagements work
All work is hourly time & materials with senior US engineers, either as a scoped project or as staff augmentation embedded with your team. We keep engagements small and senior — the people you talk to are the people writing the code.
